Fold out the bottom of the box so that it will stand up on a table. TABLE. You’ll need one table. The table just needs to be big enough to to set the blind on and still have enough room for contestants to open their boxes. MYSTERY ITEMS. You’ll need one mystery item per box. The crazier the item is the better, think of things that don’t belong together (i.e. bowl of Ramen noodles and Hot Wheels with ranch dressing on it). CHAIRS. You’ll need two chairs for this game. WHAT TO PREP THE BOXES. Before the game make sure you fill the boxes with one mystery item each. Number the boxes and set them somewhere where the crowd and contestants will be able to see them. Set the blind up on the table parallel with the crowd so that when contestants look at each other the crowd can see both contestants. HOW TO PLAY CHOOSE CONTESTANTS. Choose two contestants to come up front and battle head to head. Decide which contestant will go first. WHAT’S IN THE BOX? The first contestant will choose a box and place it behind the blind so that their opponent can not see the box. The contestant with the box will remove the object so that the crowd can see it, all the while making sure the opponent can’t see it. TRUTH OR LIE? The contestant with the box will choose to either lie or tell the truth to their opponent. No matter which they decide they will need to stare at their opponent the whole time. Once they have explained the truth or the lie the contestant without the box must guess if the contestant is telling a lie or the truth. If the contestant guessing gets it right they get a point. If the contestant guessing gets it wrong then the person with the box wins a point that round. Contestants will go back and forth choosing boxes until they are all gone or the game is over. The contestant at the end with the most points wins! PRO TIPS This game is based off of Jimmy Fallons “Box of Lies” you can watch videos of the game to get inspiration for what to put in your boxes.
