So, to help you celebrate the Olympics with your group, we&#8217;re giving away one of our favorite student events, <em>World Record, <\/em><strong>for free! <\/strong>Just download the PDF to get your copy.<\/p>\n<p>And if you&#8217;re looking for our kids event, <em>Go For the Gold<\/em>, head <a href=\"https:\/\/growcurriculum.org\/go\/an-olympic-themed-event-for-your-kids-ministry\">here<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Inside this event, you&#8217;ll find everything you need to feel the spirit of competition in your youth ministry. We&#8217;ve designed a series of challenges to make you think, work, and laugh together. Your students will compete with hobby horses, pool noodles, and lightsabers in this fight for glory!<\/p>\n<p>Want a rundown of each event? You&#8217;ll get activity guides, shopping lists, and more for these events&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>MAKE YOUR OWN JAVELIN TOSS: <\/strong>Teams will compete to construct and throw their own javelin as far as they possibly can.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>NO WATER POLO: <\/strong>A dehydrated version of this classic Olympic sport of throwing the ball into the net.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>BALLOON TENNIS: <\/strong>Teams will compete to score points without bursting any balloons in this simplified take on tennis.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>LIGHTSABER FENCING: <\/strong>Teams will display their lightsaber-wielding skills in this free-for-all game.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>THE BALANCE BEAM: <\/strong>Teams will win points by being the best at keeping their balance as they walk with books on their heads.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>DISCUS GOLF: <\/strong>Teams will take turns throwing Hula Hoops to try and wrap their hoop around the target in fewer moves than the other teams.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>SUPER CURLING: <\/strong>Teams will work together to try and get a giant exercise ball as close to a target as possible while the other teams work together to throw it off course.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>LONG JUMP CHALLENGE: <\/strong>Teams will roll tennis balls over a ramp and try to get them to land in the furthest bucket possible.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>HOBBY HORSE OBSTACLE COURSE: <\/strong>Students will race on hobby horses through a customized obstacle course to win team points.<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\"><strong>ULTIMATE TRIATHLON: <\/strong>A scooter swim, three-legged race, and tricycle ride make up the three stages of this final event!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n    \n\t\t<style>\n\t\t\t.post_pdf_details {\n\t\t\t\tpadding-top: 15px;\n\t\t\t\tpadding-bottom: 20px;\n\t\t\t}\n\t\t\t.help_section .row {\n\t\t\t\tbackground: \t\t\t}\n\t\t<\/style>\n\n        <div class=\"post_pdf_details\">\n            <div class=\"help_section\">\n                <div class=\"container\">\n                    <div class=\"row\">\n                                                    <div class=\"column image\">\n                                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/growcurriculum.org\/go\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/GS_OlympicEvent.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\n                            <\/div>\n                                                <div class=\"column text\">\n                            <div class=\"text_section\">\n                                                                    <div class=\"feature_text\">A Free Resource from Grow Students<\/div>\n                                \n                                                                    <div class=\"help_text\">World Record! DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE EVENT. <\/strong>Grab your copy of <em>World Record<\/em> and take a look at all of the activity guides, graphics, and other resources we&#8217;ve included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. CHOOSE YOUR EVENTS. <\/strong>Browse through each event and make a list of all the supplies you&#8217;ll need. <em>(Pro Tip: You can host World Record as a single event or pull apart the activities to make it an ongoing competition!)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.
