Junction Volunteer Email Week 3 - Grow Youth & Kids Ministry Curriculum

We’re halfway through Junction, a series on hurt. We hope it’s giving you plenty of meaningful opportunities to have conversations with teenagers and their parents because this topic really matters.

Here’s a few things coming up in our ministry . . .

ADD THE DATE: Spring Weekend
Next month, we’re hosting a weekend event designed to help students connect with God and with their small group. Get the details on our website!

ADD THE DATE: Volunteer Meeting
As we dive into the second semester of this school year, it’s time for another volunteer meeting! We hope to see you there as we learn about ADD THE TOPIC together.

ADD THE DATES: Mission Experience
This summer, we’re taking teenagers on a mission experience! Make sure the dates are on your calendar and you’ve let us know if you’d like to attend.

JUNCTION: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON HURT
WEEK 3 BIG IDEA: God can use pain to purify you.

SERIES OVERVIEW:
Life can often be a difficult journey. Sometimes it’s difficult because of the choices we’ve made, but other times it’s difficult because of circumstances beyond our control. In this 4-week series, you’ll challenge students to look at their pain in a new way. By studying the book of Exodus and the stories of Moses and the Israelites, you’ll help them see that God can turn their pain into progress by growing them, preparing them, purifying them, and uniting them.

We don’t usually like to share our stories of hurt, pain, or failure. But like we’ve talked about before, and we’ll talk about again, those are exactly the stories that need to be told because they’re the stories where God does some of God’s best work. If you (or your students) need a reminder that our worst moments don’t define us, check out this TED Talk. Click here to watch now.

Choose a volunteer to celebrate this week. Add their picture and a few sentences about what makes them awesome!
