“Leadership” is something that affects nearly every area of your life. Your job, your family, your church, and your community are all impacted by the quality of the leadership in each of those areas — for good or bad. You might think you know what a great leader is like. Maybe you even think you are a great leader. The problem is, it’s not usually easy to find a model of consistently great leadership. Not even in Scripture. The Bible is full of stories of smart, capable, fearless, and well-intentioned leaders whose time in power resulted in disaster. In this series, we’ll explore the leadership of King David, wannabe-king Absalom, King Solomon, and King Jesus. Because in God’s kingdom, leaders seek accountability, not power — peace, not revenge — and humility, not pride. The kings of Israel may have struggled with these things, but thankfully Jesus shows us how to lead.
