Have we told you recently how grateful we are that you’ve decided to use your gifts to serve alongside us this year? We know how big of a deal that is. So thank you.

Here are a few things coming up in our ministry . . .

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: PIZZAPALOOZA
This month, we are hosting the world’s best pizza party. You don’t want to miss this event. It is a pizza competition to see who can make the best pizza. There will be judges, prizes, and of course all the pizza!

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: THE I’M DISTINCT CHALLENGE
The I’m Distinct challenge gives students the opportunity to reflect and discover their gifts by going through a workbook. Once they discovered or their gifts are affirmed, it is our hope they will use their gifts for the purpose of loving God and others.

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: VOLUNTEER CHRISTMAS PARTY
Let’s celebrate the holidays with a little fun, food, and friends! Come hang with us. There will be games, presents, and zero meetings.

WITH YOU: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON FRIENDSHIP
WEEK 3 BIG IDEA: Be with people when they’re in need.

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Being a good friend is easy! As long as you make time to hang out, remember their birthday, and answer their texts, you’re eligible for the Great Friend Award . . . right? Friendship might feel easy when life is easy, but it gets more complicated when your friends are hurting or struggling. What should you do? What should you say? What should you not say? When our friends need help, there are no easy answers, but in this 4-week series, we’ll follow the lead of a few people who’ve been there. Through the stories of Job, Ruth, Naomi, Elijah, and Eli, we’ll see how God invites us to “be with” people when they’re grieving, lonely, in need, or feeling hopeless, and how God is already with them.

You have probably noticed the teenagers you work with tend to care a lot about what people think about them. You may have noticed you also tend to care what people think about you. What causes this in us and just as interestingly, when does this start to develop in each of us? Check out this fun TED TALK for a little more insight into this phenomenon that shapes our everyday lives!

At least once this month, choose a volunteer to celebrate. Add their picture and a few sentences about what makes them awesome!

We’d love your opinion. If you were dropping a teenager off at our ministry for the first time, what would your initial opinion be? Reply to this email and let us know!
