There are always cool things going on in our ministry, but this week, you’ve got to hear about this one . . .  [Tell your volunteers about a recent win in your ministry.]

Here are a few things coming up in our ministry . . .

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: PARENT WORKSHOP
This month, we are hosting a get-together for parents to encourage them and talk about how we can better partner with them in helping kids grow their faith! Be there!

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: VOLUNTEER MEETING(S)
As we get back into the rhythm after the holidays, it’s almost time to learn and grow together at our next meeting of the year! We hope to see you there as we learn about [add your own topic(s)] together.

ADD YOUR OWN DATES: GIFT TAG CHALLENGE
This quarter, we’re getting families to pay it forward with their gifts. Help your kids identify different things they can do!

A DAY AT THE MUSEUM: A 5-WEEK SERIES FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT ON JESUS’ EARLY LIFE & MINISTRY
WEEK 2 BIG IDEA: We can hear God’s voice if we listen.

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Museums have the unique ability to transform learning! Instead of merely reading words on a page, we can experience them through all of our senses! A Day at the Museum is a series all about helping kids interact with the stories of Jesus and connecting them to God. Jesus’ life and early ministry helps all of us experience (see, hear . . . even taste!) and follow God in new, tangible, and real ways.

The new year is always time to think about change, but have you noticed that it’s not easy to actually make those changes? Often times it’s our own thinking that gets in our way and hinders us even before we start. If this sounds like you, you must check out GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD by Jennie Allen. Give it a read and let’s talk about it! It might lead to some great conversations about changes we can make in our ministry, too!

At least once this month, choose a volunteer to celebrate. Add their picture and a few sentences about what makes them awesome!

Are there any topics you don’t feel prepared to discuss with kids or their families? What are they? Reply to this email and tell us about it so we can do a better job of equipping you!
