CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CURRICULUM & ANNUAL STRATEGY
A Comprehensive System To Grow Your Kids and Your Ministry
GROW YOUR CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
In Kids Ministry, if you’re not looking to grow the size of your team or attendance numbers, you’re probably looking to grow the effectiveness of your volunteer team, grow your level of parent engagement, and (of course) help kids grow spiritually both at church and at home. We can help.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GROW YOUR
VOLUNTEERS, PARENTS, & KIDS
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY ISN’T EASY
If you’ve been in Children’s Ministry for longer than 30 seconds, you’ve probably realized something: Kids Ministry isn’t just about kids — it’s also about the adults who lead and parent those kids. So your job as a Children’s Leader is threefold:
- Pastor KIDS
- Lead VOLUNTEERS
- Invest in PARENTS
Unless you’re a Children’s Ministry superhero (and please let us know if you are, because you sound awesome), that’s not an easy job. In order to do your job well, you need a cohesive strategy (and a whole bunch of resources) in six key areas:
- Weekly Programming
Grow Children’s Ministry Curriculum and Annual Strategy is designed to give you all the resources you need for an entire year of ministry in all six of those key areas. Unlike other curriculum and resources available, Grow is all-inclusive. Grow isn’t just curriculum — it’s everything you need to teach kids, disciple kids, create excellent weekly programming, pull off amazing events, develop volunteers, and engage parents.
There is nothing else quite like Grow — we know, because we’ve looked!
Your job is to pastor kids, lead volunteers, and invest in parents. Our job is to make that easy for you. We’re committed to helping you be more awesome by giving you the most practical, innovative, fun, and well-made resources on planet earth.
Grow exists to help you and your ministry get more strategic, more effective, and more healthy. Because healthy things grow.
It’s Everything you need for your students, volunteers, and parents

What church leaders are saying:
Our ministry has never been the same since we started using Grow. You guys have made it possible for a volunteer like me and my team to look like rock stars!!!Angel Acevedo
As a children’s ministry volunteer, I’ve used lots of curriculum, and this one is by far the easiest. I could prep everything the night before I was supposed to teach it in church, and it wasn’t difficult. Also, the activities were actually fun, and the kids loved it! The theme made the lesson even more exciting. It is the best curriculum I’ve used in Children’s Ministry.Annette Hoyt
Grow is a super awesome curriculum & strategy that includes curriculum, event planning ideas, people management help, and a ton more! We’ve been using Grow for about two months and won’t look back!Isaac Matthius Lay
Simply the best curriculum with so much more to offer than anyone else!Drew Williams

FOR SMALL CHURCHES
WE LOVE SMALL CHURCH KIDS MINISTRY LEADERS!
Grow is created by and for children’s ministry leaders of all church sizes and contexts, but we especially love our friends at smaller churches. If you’re serving in a small church, here’s how Grow is built specifically for you:
EASY TO PREP
Grow’s weekly curriculum is super easy to prepare and uses supplies that are easy to find (and affordable too)! With everything else on your to-do list each week (and limited support to make it all happen), we’ve worked hard to make every week of Grow easy to prep and easy to use.
EASY TO CUSTOMIZE
Each week of our curriculum is packed with ideas and instructions for activities, videos, images, object lessons, and more. With so many options, you can easily choose the ones that work best for your group, or just use the curriculum as-is! It’s flexible to fit your needs and resources.
EASY TO DO WITH A SMALL TEAM
If you’re a little short on volunteers right now, don’t worry. Grow doesn’t require a huge team of staff or volunteers in order to make it happen. Whether you’re leading a team of volunteers or leading a handful of kids all by yourself, Grow is designed to work for you.
And that’s just the Sunday morning stuff! When you add up the done-for-you events, parent resources, volunteer training, and discipleship tools, Grow is built to save you time, energy, and money. Because everything is done for you ahead of time, Grow will help you maximize your time and empower you to invest in people — instead of in curriculum prep.
We know doing children’s ministry in a small church can be a challenge. That’s why our team is packed with authors, contributors, and editors with small church experience. If there’s anything we can do to serve you better, please let us know!
DIVERSITY = STRENGTH
Our amazing team of youth/kids ministry contributors and writers come from churches of all sizes, cultures, contexts, denominations, and locations. Our goal is to try and capture the fullest representation of the body of Christ as we can every year. Each member of the Grow team is uniquely experienced in teaching and discipling students and kids, training and celebrating volunteers, and ministering to families. We’re excited to get every drop of Grow Curriculum & Strategy into your hands, because it comes from all of these hands and more…

Frequently asked questions:
CAN I CUSTOMIZE GROW TO FIT MY CONTEXT?
Absolutely! That’s kind of our #1 goal, actually. We want Grow to work for you, no matter your size, your format, or your calendar. To make it super flexible for you, we . . .
- Teach you our calendaring strategy so you can create an annual plan, using our resources, that fits your needs.
- Give you editable files in Photoshop and Microsoft Word.
- Leave space for your logo on any resources you’ll give to kids, parents, make it yours.
IS GROW FOR PRESCHOOL OR ELEMENTARY?
Both! With Grow, you get an entire year of curriculum for your elementary and preschool kids, all for one price. Our preschool curriculum takes each elementary lesson and delivers it at an age-appropriate level for your preschoolers. So whether you separate or combine your preschool and elementary-aged kids, Grow is designed to work for you.
CAN I USE GROW FOR MY PRETEENS?
Yes! Every week of Grow is created with upper elementary and preteen kids in mind. Plus, every single week of curriculum comes with at least one Hack for Preteens to help you customize the content even more specifically for your preteens. If your ministry has a lot of preteens, or you have a separate ministry just for preteens, Grow is designed to work for you.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
We’ve got you covered! Every week of Grow comes with at least one Hack for Kids with Special Needs to help you customize the content to better include and connect with your kids with special needs. If your ministry has a lot of kids with special needs, or you have a separate ministry just for your kids with special needs, Grow is designed to work for you.
HOW IS GROW DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CURRICULUM?
Well, for starters, Grow isn’t just a children’s ministry curriculum. It’s a strategy for your entire ministry. The weekly curriculum is just one part of that strategy. With Grow, you’ll get a complete annual TEACHING strategy, but you’ll also get a whole year’s worth of resources for WEEKLY PROGRAMMING, VOLUNTEERS, PARENTS, DISCIPLESHIP, and EVENTS. But if you want a little more information on how Grow compares to other resources, check out the samples we’ve provided by clicking here!
WILL GROW ACTUALLY WORK IN MY CONTEXT?
We sure think so, and we are working hard to make sure it will! That’s why we’ve assembled an incredibly diverse team of writers, contributors, and editors to help us create a resource that is truly flexible enough to work in your context, and that actually represents the full Body of Christ. Our team is filled with real children’s ministry leaders doing real ministry in a variety of contexts. Rural, urban, and suburban churches. Small churches, medium-sized churches, and big churches. They represent a variety of denominations, cultures, and ministry styles. Thanks to their help and feedback (and yours!) we think Grow really is flexible enough to fit in your context.
SHOULD I DITCH MY CURRICULUM AND USE GROW INSTEAD?
Well, sure, you can if you want. But if you love your current curriculum, stick with it. We’ve tried to make Grow affordable enough that, even if you do use another curriculum for your sermons or small groups, Grow could still be a valuable addition to your youth ministry resource arsenal.
Now, since some of you know Kenny and I spent a couple of years working with the folks at Orange, we specifically get asked this question a ton: “Should I leave Orange and switch to Grow?” Good question. Here’s our answer. Nope. We love Orange. We love the resources and we really love the people. (And no, they didn’t ask us to say that. It’s just true.) Orange is a great option if you’re looking for a curriculum that offers options for all age groups, if you’re looking for separate middle school and high school curriculum, or if you’re looking to attend an annual conference for your entire family ministry team. If that’s you, Orange is probably the best fit for you. So stick with them!
DISCLAIMER: Kenny & Elle Campbell, Grow Curriculum, and Stuff You Can Use are in no way affiliated with Orange or XP3.
Obviously, we really love what we’re putting together with Grow. And we hope you like it, too. But if you’ve already found a teaching curriculum you love, stick with it. We’re big believers that the Church is big enough for a whole bunch of voices and a whole bunch of approaches to ministry, and we want you to choose the curriculum that’s the best fit for you.
We’re not interested in trying to convince you to choose us over another curriculum or resource. We’re just trying to meet some needs that youth pastors have told us haven’t quite been met yet.
So if you already have a curriculum you love, cool! We hope Grow can help meet any needs you still have outside of your teaching strategy. But if you don’t already have a curriculum you love, we hope you fall in love with Grow!
WHAT IS YOUR STATEMENT OF FAITH?
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return.
We believe people receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through Jesus.
